Mr. Shoemaker is an experienced litigator in both the civil and criminal arenas, having tried a wide variety of cases. His practice for the past 18 years has involved Civil Defense with a focus in the areas of construction law and litigation, Construction Contracts, insurance coverage disputes, premises liability and negligence actions. Mr. Shoemaker has drafted construction contracts, represented general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in construction disputes involving contractual issues and issues involving allegations of construction defects. He has litigated cases involving motor vehicle accidents, including cars, motorcycles and golf carts. He has represented home and business owners in premises liability cases involving deaths and serious injuries alleged to have resulted from negligent security, swimming pools accidents, and negligent maintenance to building code violations. Mr. Shoemaker is also a licensed private pilot and retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel, having spent 22 years on either active duty or as a drilling reservist in the Marine Corps.
